In addition to my Human Design System® expertise, I have had a long career as an European-trained Skin Care Specialist, called ‘Aesthetician,’ giving facials and advice to teenagers, women and some men. I studied and worked in my native Germany and then in Australia, before coming to Northern California in 1968. I eventually moved my business to Santa Fe, New Mexico with its challenging desert climate.
In that work, I became aware early on of the undisclosed chemical ingredients in cosmetics and the condescending ways cosmetics were sold to the consumers. It was a time of great ‘bitterness’ for me, a sensitive Projector.
While still in California, I started to experiment with products that were natural, ethically produced with excellent results, and subsequently educated my clients to read cosmetic labels, as well as ask questions about the origin of these ingredients. Eventually I became involved in the creation and import of an organic, bio-dynamically produced cosmetic line called JURLIQUE, still produced today in Australia.
Since my retirement from the business world, I wrote about my many years of experience in the attached manuscript titled:
“CHANGING FACES – Beauty and Skin Care in the 21st Century.”
